John is the agency’s solid financial/payroll anchor, having experienced a long and successful career as a Controller and Accounting Manager working for top corporations such as Infrared Industries Incorporated, Defense Systems Corporation, Paul and Griffin, ExpressPoint, Teleplan International and others. A graduate of Bentley College, Boston, MA, John majored in Accounting and Finance. His field of studies at Bentley reflects the majority of John’s highly skilled acumen, including Cost Accounting Standards, Defective Pricing, Financial Management of Government Contracts, and Management Techniques for Controllers. John’s in-depth knowledge of financial operations, financial planning, financial analysis, forecasting, and manufacturing accounting are just a portion of the many aspects he does as the agency’s Payroll Director. In the past, John has also directed and managed the accounting function for a manufacturer of commercial and military products; established and managed a full accounting function for new manufacturing divisions for start-up companies; directed and managed the entire accounting function for a corporation manufacturing surface finishing systems; and is now heading the Payroll Department at Augustine with the same take-charge efficiency that has endeared him to so many companies throughout the years.
What You Might Not Know…
John is semi-retired; enjoys playing golf; loves to travel with his wife whenever they can get away; has visited Alaska and Maui, the beauty of the redwoods and Oregon in the fall; grew up in a small, New England town—his high school class was equally small—the graduation class held just 68 students.
